Ready for a fairy tale? The Metropolitan Performing Arts Academy presents “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr.,” the musical story of Belle, a young woman who longs to get away from her boring village life, as well as her suitor, Gaston. She gets her wish when she becomes a captive in the Beast’s enchanted castle, which is filled with animated furniture and the reclusive master of the manor.
When: 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

1. Songs to celebrate
The Bravo! Concert series continues with the choral production “Israel in Egypt” by composer George F. Handel. The performance tells the biblical story of Moses and the Israelites. The 1739 piece will be brought to life by the Bravo! Vancouver Chorale, the Washington Chamber Orchestra and special guest soloist, baritone Douglas Webster.

2. Dance for Spring
Columbia Dance celebrates 25 years with its Spring Gala, featuring excerpts from the ballet “Don Quixote,” with both students and company dancers performing. The show will also include three choreography premiers by Columbia Dance alumni and new work by Artistic Director Jan Hurst.
