A public memorial service will be Sunday for longtime mapmaker Phil Arnold, who died on Jan. 14 at age 96.
The service will be at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 401 E. 33rd St.
Arnold made maps of Clark County for more than 60 years. The family continues to sell them through Arnold Map Service, based in the family home.
Arnold created the maps by hand, using old-world pen-and-ink techniques rather than computer technology.
