Scholarships target STEM, other students

The Opportunity Scholarship program, for low- and middle-income students earning a first bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) or health care, is accepting applications through April 16. The program will award 3,000 scholarships at $1,000 per year, which are renewable for up to five years. See details at College Success Foundation.

High school seniors through college seniors who plan to attend colleges and universities in Washington for the entire 2012-13 academic year are eligible to apply. In addition, a student must be a state resident, have a 2.75 GPA or higher and have completed a 2012-2013 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
