Local employers and agencies have teamed up to offer a job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, at the Partners in Careers office at 3210 N.E. 52nd St. in Vancouver. During the Southwest Washington Hiring Event, job-seekers will meet with employers and should dress professionally and come prepared with résumés. More than 30 employers with job openings will participate, including Safeway, Home Depot and Lowe’s.

The nonprofit Partners in Careers — which provides job training and placement to people on public assistance, refugees, veterans, low-income seniors and at-risk youth — WorkSource and Clark College also will be on hand. Free workshops on networking, searching for jobs and interviewing will be offered. Résumé critiques will be offered, too.

Businesses seeking employees may still register for the job fair. For more information, call Advija Hrustic, lead job developer for Partners in Careers, at 360-696-8417.
