Woodland — The annual Woodland Fire, Rescue and EMS recognition banquet was held March 10 at Lewis River Golf Course. Awards were presented to firefighters, volunteers and community partners who have provided exemplary service.
Jack’s Towing and owner Dave Wells won Business of the Year for “longstanding support” and quick response at accidents; volunteer firefighter Brian Ellis won the Bulldog Award for leadership; Josh Gleason won Rookie of the Year; Sandy Kern won EMS Responder of the Year; Justin Gordon took Firefighter of the Year; and Kenny Bjur and Jade Bourke both won Chief’s Awards.
