Fruit Valley — Water main work began March 19 and is expected to continue through July in many neighborhood streets west of Fruit Valley Road and north of Fourth Plain Boulevard. More than 7,000 feet of pipe will be replaced. According to the city, there may be water service interruptions, but residents will receive 24 hours notice beforehand. Parking and street access will be spotty. Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with occasional Friday and Saturday work, too. Contact Steve Lee, city construction project engineer, with questions at 360-487-7750. All neighborhood streets will be repaved when the job is done.
