Clark County will offer a dozen opportunities for residents to dispose of hazardous waste during the next few months. The first event is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 7 at Ridgefield High School, 2630 S. Hillhurst Road.
In addition to household hazardous waste, the events will also accept block foam and unwanted electronics such as computers, monitors, televisions and cell phones. Household hazardous waste includes pesticides, paints, solvents, batteries, thinners, motor oil and cleaners.
Later events are in Amboy and Yacolt on April 14, and Camas on April 18. The first event in Vancouver is April 21 at Clark College.
Clark County’s three transfer stations also accept hazardous waste at no charge on certain days each week. More information, including collection event dates and locations, is available at Recycling A-Z.
