U.S. Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Camas, announced Monday that she will open an office in Lewis County and has hired Chehalis resident Julie Balmelli-Powe as its field representative. Balmelli-Powe is a 1986 Washington State University graduate who also works as office manager in her family’s business, Balmelli Logging and Livestock.
Starting April 2, the new office will be open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays at Chehalis City Hall, 350 N. Market Blvd.
Herrera Beutler has operated a field office in Vancouver’s O.O. Howard House, 750 Anderson St., on Officers Row, since she took office in 2011.
