Southwest Washington educators will rally Monday evening at the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds against proposed changes to their health care programs and to additional cuts in education.

According to a press release distributed by the Washington Education Association, the rally will raise awareness about a proposal by state lawmakers to take over health care programs for educators. The WEA says the proposal will end up costing taxpayers more money.

The rally is expected to draw hundreds of teachers, school classified employees and their supporters. It starts at 5:30 p.m. and takes place in Hall B at the fairgrounds, 17402 N.E. Delfel Road, Ridgefield.

For more information, contact Lynn Davidson of the WEA at 360-256-0880.
