Battle Ground — A local chapter of the Washington Farm Forestry Association will host a seedling sale in Battle Ground on Saturday.

The event is from 8 a.m. to noon at the Battle Ground Albertsons, 2108 W. Main St.

The annual event serves as a fundraiser for the organization, which represents small-scale timberland owners and family tree farms in the area. The Clark County chapter of the farm forestry association represents nearly 250 families.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit forestry-related educational programs and other services. The sale will offer seedlings of 20 different types of trees, including varieties of cedar, fir, hemlock, pine, sequoia and spruce. Prices range from $1 to $6. Washington State University’s Master Gardeners program also helps put on the sale.
