The Vancouver Volcanoes close out the International Basketball League regular season with a 5 p.m. game today against the Salem Soliders at the O’Connell Sports Complex at Clark College.

Vancouver (9-8), the defending IBL champion, is looking to enter next week’s IBL playoff tournament in Bellingham on a strong note.

The Volcanoes ended a four-game losing streak on Friday with a 123-119 win over the Yamhill Highflyers. Salem (8-9) had a five-game win streak snapped Friday with a 123-121 loss to Portland.

Prior to today’s finale, the Volcanoes are hosting a community barbecue from 2-4 p.m. in the Clark College parking lot on Fort Vancouver Way.

The event features free food, drinks, live music, games, entertainment, and raffle prizes. Volcanoes’ players and dancers will also attend.
