Jeanne Firstenburg has been selected by Sterling Bank to lead the newly-formed Sterling Advisory Board of Southwest Washington. Board members consisting of community leaders will provide guidance on how Sterling can invest in local communities and partner with local businesses. Firstenburg is the Southwest Washington market president for Sterling Bank and former president and chief operating officer of First Independent Bank, which was acquired this year by Sterling.

Nicole C. Smith has been hired by Quail Homes as a “LEED Green Associate” on the interior design team. Smith is a graduate of Washington State University’s bachelor’s program for interior design.

• The Downtown Camas Association has hired Brenda Schallberger of Vancouver as program coordinator and Aimee Sukol of Portland as marketing and development consultant. Schallberger will work to create new partnerships among key DCA stakeholders, as well as strengthen existing ones. Sukol will attenpt to increase the DCA’s revenue stream and raise awareness of the mutual relationship Camas citizens and businesses have with the DCA.

Deanna Rusch with Stahancyk, Kent & Hook P.C. has been recognized by Washington Super Lawyers as a top up-and-coming attorney. Rusch received her law degree from Gonzaga University after completing a bachelor’s degree at the University of Washington.

Angel Montes, who has worked for the Red Cross in Portland for nearly 10 years, has been selected as the new donor recruitment supervisor for blood services for the American Red Cross for Southwest Washington. He will be working out of the donor center at 5109 N.E. 82nd Ave., Vancouver.
