The driver of a car involved in a Wednesday evening crash on state Highway 503 at Lewisville Park has been released from a local hospital Thursday, officials said.

Tanya V. Kryachun, 19, was released from PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Kryachun was driving a 2001 Ford Focus southbound on Highway 503. According to a Washington State Patrol bulletin, Kryachun failed to yield the right of way to a Toyota 4-Runner driven by Michael H. Young, 60, of Eugene, Ore. The 4-Runner hit the left front of the Focus.

Kryachun was extricated by Clark County Fire & Rescue firefighters and sent to PeaceHealth. Her passengers, Lidiya V. Kryachun, 18, and Evelina Gavrilova, 21, both of Vancouver, were treated and released from the hospital, a PeaceHealth spokeswoman said.

State patrol says the crash was caused by inattention. Kryachun was cited for second-degree negligent driving.
