Around 450 homes were temporarily without power Friday morning after a car ran into a power pole in east Vancouver, officials said.
The crash was reported around 7:20 a.m. at the intersection of Southeast First Street and Southeast 192nd Avenue.
A single vehicle had mechanical problems, went off the road and hit a pole, said Joe Spatz, Vancouver Fire Department spokesman. The 17-year-old female driver of the car was uninjured in the crash, he said.
Several stop lights in the area were temporarily without power, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.
