The Software Association of Oregon said Wednesday that it has changed its name to the Technology Association of Oregon. It said the new name, approved unanimously by its board, “more accurately reflects the diversity of the Association’s membership.” The association represents the technology industry in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
The association notes that the region’s technology community includes software, hardware and technology services organizations, as well as companies with strong IT development operations.
It will redesign its website and launch over the next several months, followed by an official launch event in the early fall. The association also added nine technology industry leaders to its board of directors, which now has 28 members.
