Harney Heights — Seven members of the Washington State School for the Blind’s varsity powerlifting squad will compete in early July in Orlando, Fla., at the International Blind Sports Association’s World Powerlifting Championships. The WSSB squad — hailing from every part of Washington State and representing every weight class — has been lifting aplenty in preparation; they (and their top three-lift totals) are: Brian Saborboro of Renton (539 pounds); Justen Credle of Maple Valley (529 pounds), T.J. Breitenfeldt of Yakima (628 pounds); Alexann Tureman of Walla Walla (347 pounds); Kazia Sarpola of Renton (385 pounds); Chris Green of Spokane (837 pounds) and Nathan Purcell of Ellensburg (948 pounds).
