The Washington State Patrol is looking for the driver who fled the scene after his 1999 Honda Civic crashed at Interstate 205 and state Highway 500 early Sunday morning.

The patrol said the driver failed to make the turn from I-205 onto eastbound Highway 500 about 2:50 a.m. The car hit a raised curb, then crossed the eastbound Highway 500 lanes and hit a jersey barrier, the patrol said. The name of the driver has not been released.

Passenger Kevin R. Fowler, 28, of Vancouver was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where he was treated and released.

The patrol said the accident was caused by excessive speed.
