Vancouver’s Rick Story earned a unanimous decision over Brock Jardine on Friday in a UFC fight at Atlantic City, N.J.

Story (15-4) controlled all three rounds. Friday’s fight was on the preliminary card for the UFC on FX 4.

Story, 27, is a co-owner of Inferno Fitness and Sports in the Salmon Creek area.

“I’m happy with my performance but I’m always want to be better,” Story told UFC.com after winning for the first time in three fights.

Story said he wants to focus on being the fighter who dictates the way a bout is fought.

“I need to make my opponents cater to what I’m doing,” he said.

Jardine, 26, was making his UFC debut on Friday.

Gray Maynard beat Clay Guida by split decision to win a lightweight bout and the main event. In other bouts on the main card, Cub Swanson stopped former “The Ultimate Fighter” winner Ross Pearson via TKO in the second round; Brian Ebersole defeated TJ Waldburger by unanimous decision; and Sam Stout won unanimously outpointed Spencer Fisher.
