VANCOUVER — More than 130 vendors will be selling artworks crafted from recycled items at the Recycled Arts Festival, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Esther Short Park, Eighth and Esther streets.
The free festival, in its seventh year, includes live entertainment and family-friendly activities. Both days will feature a juggling stilt walker, storyteller Will Hornyak and activities from the Portland Children’s Museum. Children will have an opportunity to learn circus tricks.
The Tossed and Found Experience will be under a large tent near the Salmon Run Bell Tower. The display consists of reusable items rescued from garbage transfer stations that will be available for purchase at local thrift shops after the festival.
The event is presented by Clark County Environmental Services in partnership with Columbia Resource Company and Waste Connections Inc. Corporate sponsor Columbia Credit Union will offer a chance to win a potting bench made of recycled wood.
