Vancouver police are searching for a suspect in a gas station robbery Tuesday at the Chevron at 9414 N.E. Vancouver Mall Drive, near the intersection of Northeast 94th Avenue close to Westfield Vancouver mall.

The robber is described as a tall male in his 20s with brown hair, said Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp. He was wearing a black zip-up hoodie at the time of the robbery, Kapp said.

No one was injured in the incident, she said.

Emergency dispatchers received a call about the robbery at 2:28 p.m.

The robber entered the gas station some time before the call and displayed a black Taser electroshock weapon. He may have taken about $300 to $400 from the gas station.

“We don’t know exactly,” Kapp said.

A female cashier who was on the floor during the incident was unable to see in wh direction the robber fled, Kapp said.

“She didn’t really have a good line of sight on whether he got into a car or walked,” Kapp said.

A bag with a Taser inside it was found later Tuesday afternoon near the area, Kapp said.

Vancouver police were trying to obtain surveillance video from the store to glean more clues but were having difficulty reaching the store’s owner, she said.

The gas station is owned by Jasleen Inc., according to Clark County property records. Bharwinder Singh of Camas is the president and chairman of Jasleen, according to the state Secretary of State’s office.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
