Riverridge — Sarrah Reinhardt, a third-grader at Riverview Elementary School, wrote a letter to thank a veteran for serving our country. With the help of her teacher, Allison Kelly, writing letters to veterans became a project for all 27 students in the class. Sarrah’s dad, Ben Reinhardt, helped by inviting Col. Dan Kern into the classroom on June 1 so the students could read their letters to a real veteran. For a photo of the entire class with Col. Kern, see the Columbian’s “Neighbors” blog.
