Strong storm passes over Clark County

A strong storm packing lightning, thunder and heavy rain was making its way across Clark County late this afternoon.

The thunderstorm passed over downtown Vancouver at about 3:45 p.m., moving to the northeast, according to local radar images. A special statement from the National Weather Service indicated the storm would cross Interstate 205 by 4 p.m. The storms could bring winds of 50 mph, plus hail and heavy rain.

Clark Public Utilities reported no power outages as of 4 p.m. Showers and possible thunderstorms are expected to last until about 11 p.m. this evening, according to the weather service.
