Staff members from the Columbia Virtual Academy next week will be at the Water Resources Education Center in Vancouver for a daylong information session.

CVA is a statewide, tuition-free, public, online alternative learning program run by a consortium of Washington school districts.

School employees will show what CVA has to offer students. The session is from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 14. The Water Resources Education Center is at 4600 S.E. Columbia Way in Vancouver.

The event will show parents and students what curriculum choices are available. There will be computer kiosks featuring online curriculum options.

The event is an open forum with no scheduled presentations.

Also, current CVA students can use this opportunity to return textbooks or other materials from the school that they no longer need. All items must be in a cardboard box with a lid, clearly labeled with the family name and teacher name.
