Postal carriers gather 6,200 pounds of food

Battle Ground — Rural postal carriers based at the Battle Ground Post Office gathered more than 6,200 pounds of donated food items during the National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive on May 12. The donations will help Battle Ground’s own North County Community Food Bank make it through the summer — its most difficult months of the year.
