The submitted information, which will become public record, will be posted on the city’s website as part of the council’s meeting packet the week of the interviews. Applicants will be interviewed during the Monday, July 2 City Council meeting, at 6 p.m.

Application packets are available to pick up Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at City Hall, 1701 “C” St. To be eligible for appointment, individuals must be registered voters who have continuously resided within the Washougal city limits for a minimum of one year prior to the appointment.

Russell recently announced he would resign, effective July 1. He has accepted a job promotion on the East Coast. Russell’s last council workshop as mayor pro tem will be held June 25.

For more information about the application process, contact City Clerk Jennifer Forsberg at 835-8501, Ext. 503 or jforsberg@ci.washougal.wa.us.
