Board of Clark County Commissioners, District 1: Candidate Ron Barca, a Battle Ground Democrat, will hold a meet-and-greet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at Bi-Zi Farms, 9504 N.E. 119th St. Barca will also speak after a showing of “Queen of the Sun” at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at the Venersborg Schoolhouse, 24309 N.E. 209th St. Beekeeper Jacqueline Freeman of Friendly Haven Rise Farm will be showing the 2010 documentary about the global bee crisis, and Barca will discuss his plans to preserve agriculture in Clark County. Admission to the movie is free, but campaign donations are encouraged.
