A high-risk sex offender known for having sexual contact with young teenage females was recently released from Washington Corrections Center in Shelton and is currently homeless in the Vancouver area, according to a sheriff’s office bulletin.
In 1998, Gregory Wright, 31, sexually assaulted two females, ages 13 and 14. He threatened both teens with a knife and choked the 14-year-old before the assault.
Although originally charged with two counts of indecent liberties and one count of attempted second-degree rape, Wright pleaded guilty to second-degree assault with sexual motivation and fourth-degree assault.
Also, after reports indicated that he had been sexually involved with a 15-year-old female, Wright in 2006 pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted communication with a minor for immoral purposes.
