Salmon Creek — More than a dozen volunteers from the Salmon Creek Business Group came together and donated time July 7 to assist a neighbor in the Mount Vista area north of Washington State University Vancouver. The neighbor recently had surgery on her foot and was unable to care for her yard. Member business Marketing Matters organized the effort; Peets Coffee provided morning treats for volunteers; Shorty’s Garden and Home provided flowers for planting; Vicks Landscaping donated yard waste pick-up and many neighbors from the Mount Vista neighborhood joined to help.
