Sex offender update

The Columbian
Published: July 23, 2012, 5:00pm

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office reported Tuesday that a high-risk sex offender who has targeted young children served his court ordered sentence and is currently homeless in the Vancouver area.

Michael E. Lamb, 70, pleaded guilty to first degree child molestation in February 2011 and indecent liberties in 1991; both victims were very young, according to the sheriff’s office bulletin. In May, Lamb was booked at the Clark County Jail on one count of failing to register as a sex offender, a Class C felony.

Lamb is classified as a Level 3 sex offender, the most likely to reoffend.

He will be monitored by the Department of Corrections, the Vancouver Police Sex Offender Monitoring Unit and the Clark County Sex Offender Registration Unit. He is not wanted by police at this time.
