The Legacy Salmon Creek Breast Health Center is offering a two-day workshop for women nearing the end of their cancer treatment. The workshop is a partnership with the Oregon nonprofit Breast Friends.

The class is designed to help cancer survivors set goals for the future, and support them in dealing with the lingering side effects and emotional trauma from their treatments.

The workshops also provide a setting in which women can meet other women who’ve shared similar experiences.

The workshop, called “Thriving Beyond Cancer,” will be 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 2 and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 3 in conference room B at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, 2211 N.E. 139th St. in Vancouver.

Enrollment is limited to 12 women. The cost is $49, which includes lunch on both days and a workbook.

Call 888-386-8048 to register. Registration deadline is July 30.
