Compassion Vancouver, a consortium of local churches, is sponsoring its latest free medical clinic for residents who don’t have access to health care.

The event is set for 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Washington Elementary School, 2908 S St.

Basic medical exams, basic dental cleaning and emergency treatment, chiropractic care, foot care, breast exams, massage and haircuts are all on tap — as well as other sorts of assistance, including basic budgeting, children’s activities, pet services and job connections.

This will the third year Compassion Vancouver puts on the event. As many as 450 clients are expected. An east-side event is set for Sept. 22 at Mill Plain Elementary School. Volunteers are welcome.
