A Vancouver man was arrested in Sherwood, Ore., for allegedly stealing a girl’s cellphone early Monday morning at a movie theater, according to a Sherwood Police bulletin.

Sherwood Police said the phone belonged to a girl who called at 1:46 a.m. Monday asking to be allowed back into Regal Sherwood 10 cinema at 15995 S.W. Tualatin Sherwood Road to find her missing cellphone.

The girl’s friend used an app on her phone to locate the missing phone, and learned it was apparently in the theater. When the officers searched inside, they met construction workers who denied knowing anything about the phone. Officers checked inside the theater, but couldn’t find the phone.

Outside the theater, they called the missing phone, heard it vibrating and found it behind some insulation in one of the walls of the theater.

Construction worker Pedro Salome Ramos-Figueroa of Vancouver, 35, was later arrested on suspicion of second-degree theft of the girl’s cellphone. He was booked at the Washington County Jail and bail set at $5,000.
