The average retail gas price in Vancouver went up one penny last week to $3.50 a gallon, matching a regional pattern of steady or slightly increasing prices after six weeks of decline, AAA Oregon/Idaho reported Tuesday.
Washington’s average price for a gallon of regular is $3.60, up one penny from a week ago. It’s the seventh highest in the nation, up from eighth last week. Oregon’s statewide average for regular unleaded remains at $3.55 this week, while the national average increased two-and-a-half cents to $3.41.
Still, the national average is at its lowest point since late January. The recent increase in retail gasoline prices has been largely the result of rising crude oil prices, AAA reported.
