Drivers on Southeast 164th Avenue should be alert for flaggers to control the intersection at Mill Plain Boulevard from 9 p.m. today to about 5 a.m. Wednesday for construction of signal improvements, the city of Vancouver said.

The work will move to Southeast 164th and McGillivray Boulevard from 7 p.m. Wednesday to about 1 a.m. Thursday.

In addition to signal improvements, the project includes accessibility upgrades for a number of curb ramps, stormwater improvements and fiber-optic work to better coordinate traffic signals, the city said.

An overlay of asphalt is planned for August.
