Union Pacific will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Pacific Railway Act by President Abraham Lincoln with a free event in Portland.

The railroad will have three steamliner locomotives and a baggage car-turned into a rolling museum parked at Union Station at 800 N.W. 6th Ave., Portland from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The museum tells Union Pacific’s 150-year history through art, graphics and touchscreen technology. Visitors can operate a locomotive simulator.

Lincoln signed the Pacific Railway Act on July 1, 1862 to construct a transcontinental railroad.
