Participants in this year’s Relay to Life can pledge to make additional efforts in the fight against cancer during a special ceremony.
A special Fight Back ceremony will be held during the relay at 5 p.m. July 21 at Columbia River High School.
Relay For Life events feature individuals and teams camping out near an athletic track or a park and keeping at least one team member on the track at all times throughout the evening.
The “fight back” pledges are personal commitments to help the American Cancer Society achieve its mission. Participants might pledge to make lifestyle changes to reduce cancer risk, to volunteer for programs or to advocate for cancer research to elected officials.
