Hazel Dell — More than 20 Korean War veterans from Southwest Washington traveled to Tacoma on June 30 to participate in Korean War Veterans Appreciation Day at Tacoma First Baptist Church. Local veterans from the Richard L. Quatier Chapter of the Korean War Veterans Association of Southwest Washington were accompanied by 10 family members. The group meets at 10 a.m. on the third Wednesday of each month in the Boxcar Room of the 40 et 8 Chateau, 7607 N.E. 26th Ave. in Hazel Dell.
