“I was surprised at how wet June was this year, but I had 4.31 inches of rain this June and that was my third wettest since 1996,” Knoll said. “Just when I thought I was going to have to water again regularly, nature took care of that for me. But I think that I’d rather be in control of how much water my plants get. And I can let the lawn dry out and not have to mow it so often.”
“Yep, July 5 and summer’s here,” Lebsack said. “Took a while, tomatoes are only two feet high, cantaloupe is breaking into growth, raspberries are coming on too fast, corn is only one foot tall (should be knee-high) but glad summer’s finally arrived.”
