Want to see LaMarcus play for the Blazers this summer?
Well, you can. As long as you’re cool with the fact that it’s LaMarcus Reed III.
The Blazers announced their summer league roster on Friday, and while it contains some familiar names, like with any summer-league squad, there are some less heralded players as well.
Rotation players from this past regular season include: Luke Babbitt, Nolan Smith, Elliot Williams, and perhaps most notably — soon-to-be fourth-year guard Wesley Matthews.
It’s rare that someone of Matthews’ experience and talent level (he averaged 13.7 points per game last season) plays summer-league, but the Marquette product who loves advertising his work ethic has said for months that he plans to participate.Other notables on the team are 2012 draft picks Damian Lillard (selected sixth), Meyers Leonard (11th), and Will Barton (40th.)
