Police are investigating a robbery that happened late Monday at a downtown Vancouver gas station.

The robbery was reported just before 11 p.m. at the Chevron station at 210 E. Mill Plain Blvd.

A store clerk told police that two men entered the store, made a verbal demand and left the store with an undisclosed amount of money and items from the store, said Kim Kapp, Vancouver police spokeswoman.

The clerk wasn’t sure if the two had a gun, Kapp said. One wasn’t mentioned or seen.

One suspect was described as a white man in his 20s or 30s who was wearing a dark jacket, black pants and a baseball hat. The second suspect was said to be a white man, also in his 20s or 30s, who wore a black hooded jacket, black pants and a red billed baseball hat, Kapp said.

Several police, including a K-9 officer responded but were unable to find the suspects.
