The Fort Vancouver National Trust is seeking additional volunteers to help Wednesday at Independence Day at Fort Vancouver presented by Bank of America.

Volunteers are needed to sell and collect tickets, work at an information booth or work in the adult beverage pavilion. Anyone wishing to volunteer should call the Trust at 360-992-1808.

Volunteer shifts are a few hours long; volunteers receive free admission and a parking pass, volunteer T-shirt and reusable water bottle.

“Volunteers are crucial to the success of the Independence Day celebration. Generous volunteers make it possible for our small staff to produce and manage this popular community event,” said Cara Cantonwine, the Trust’s director of programs. “Not only can they enjoy the event as spectators, they have the satisfaction of knowing they were an integral part of making Independence Day a great event for the entire community.”
