Boys basketball: Washougal 69, Woodland 38

A 30-6 second quarter sent the host Panthers to the 2A Greater St. Helens League win.

Eleven different players scored for Washougal, with Aaron Diester and David Crowley leading the way with 10 points apiece. The Panthers (12-6) moved into a second-place tie with Hockinson at 4-2 in league play.

Crowley scored eight of his points during the decisive second period, and Jordan Jantzer hit a pair of 3-pointers to help spark the big quarter.

Deister grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds for the Panthers, and Isaac Bischoff collected nine boards.

For Woodland (5-12, 1-6), Tanner Huddleston made five 3-pointers on his way to a team-high 16 points. Eight of the 13 made baskets for the Beavers were 3-pointers.
