Thomas Phillips came off the bench to score eight points in the first quarter, helping the Plainsmen to a fast start en route to the win.
Assisted by seven points from Jahmil Johnson, Evergreen led 27-16 after the first quarter.
Phillips finished with 10 points, one of five Plainsmen in double-figures. Johnson scored 18, Caleb Dressler 17, Tre Clark 13, and Jalen Ballard 11.
“Jahmil Johnson had a good game at both ends of the court, as did Clark — great game defensively,” Evergreen coach Kelly Blankenship said.
Dressler finished with 15 rebounds and five blocked shots. Ballard added five assists and two blocks.
