Lake Shore — Babies in Need, a ministry of All Saints Episcopal Church, has a new storage building, thanks to many community volunteers. The ministry provides car seats and layettes of clothing, bedding and supplies to needy newborns and their families in Clark County. What began with a $6,000 donation from the people of Vancouver First United Methodist Church for Babies in Need grew into the construction of a new building to store and sort donations for the ministry. The building committee included members of three churches. The ministry received a $24,999 donation from Meyer Memorial Trust, which covered the majority of the expenses. The Vancouver Rotary Foundation donated $5,000 for the project, as well. The church dedicated the new building Jan. 8.
