Two people were sent to the hospital with neck and back pain after a Tuesday morning crash on state Highway 500.
According to a Washington State Patrol bulletin, Rebecca Richards, 40, of Vancouver, was driving a 2000 Acura westbound on SR-500 around 8:40 a.m. A 2008 Dodge Caravan, driven by Nicole McCarty, 30, of Battle Ground, slowed in front of Richards. Richards failed to slow and struck the Caravan, pushing it into the left lane, where it hit a 2007 Chevrolet Uplander driven by Kerri Beverly, 45, of Vancouver, the release said.
Engine 2 with the Vancouver Fire Department responded and found all three cars off the road, said Kevin Stromberg, a fire department spokesman.
Beverly and McCarty complained of neck and back pain and were sent to the Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, state patrol said.
Richards didn’t report any injuries. She was cited for second-degree negligent driving.
