Two men were taken to a hospital Sunday after a T-bone collision at Northeast 89th Avenue and 88th Street. One of them was in serious condition Monday night.

About 8 p.m. Sunday, Andrea Melo, 23, of Vancouver was driving a Jeep Wrangler east on 88th Street when a Ford Taurus pulled into her path, officials said.

She hit the Taurus on its driver-side door, said Clark County sheriff’s Sgt. Alex Schoening. Melo declined to be taken to a hospital.

Michael Holman, 46, of Vancouver, who was driving the Taurus, was taken by AMR ambulance to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center where he was listed in serious condition in intensive care Monday night.

Melo’s passenger, Garrett Wellington, 24, of Vancouver, was treated at PeaceHealth and was released, a hospital employee said.

No ticket was issued and the collision remained under investigation by the sheriff’s Traffic Unit, which deals with serious traffic accidents.
