Boys basketball: Hockinson 60, R.A. Long 50

Justin Schauer had 14 points and eight rebounds, leading the Hawks to the victory.

Hockinson took a 46-33 lead into the fourth quarter.

“We led pretty much the whole game,” coach Matt Gruhler said. “They cut it to within six in the fourth quarter, but then they had to start fouling, and we made our free throws.”

Hockinson was 6 of 7 from the line in the final period — including 4 of 4 for Schauer — and 18 of 28 in the game. R.A. Long, meanwhile, finished 6 of 16 from the line.

The Lumberjacks were led by Keenon Marin with 17 points and Joe Buckley with 13.
