Vancouver police Thursday released a photo of a man they believe robbed local branches of U.S. Bank three times within the past month.
The latest robbery occurred just before closing Wednesday at the branch at 16415 S.E. McGillivray Blvd. The man entered the bank at 5:44 p.m., approached a teller, and said, “This is a robbery. I have a gun. Give me your money.”
When the teller gave him some cash, he stuffed it in a bag and fled on foot in an easterly direction. Police searched the area, but were unable to locate him.
A photo from the bank’s camera system showed that he strongly resembles a man who robbed the same branch on Dec. 16, and the U.S. Bank at 6407 N.E. 117th Ave. on Jan. 3. Police said they believe the robberies are related.
