A strong first half separated the Eagles from the visiting Trappers. Hudson’s Bay used strong defense to build a 33-13 halftime lead, then withstood a strong second half from Fort Vancouver.

Jahmile Sipaia led the Eagles with 21 points. Ane Sipaia added 15, including a pair of fourth-quarter 3-pointers that helped close the door on the Trappers’ rally.

Bay coach Andy Meyer said the first half, highlighted by strong Bay defense, was the best half this season for his team. He credited Fort, which struggled with its shooting in the first half, for playing a strong second half.

Mario Eyler scored 16 points for the Trappers and Matthew Delisle added 13.
