Clark College athletics, going into Wednesday’s games:

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Standings — Clark entered the second week of NWAACC West Division play tied for first at 2-0 with Tacoma. The Penguins (12-1), ranked third in the NWAACC, started the week as one of three NWAACC teams with one loss.

Upcoming games — The Penguins visit Lower Columbia in Longview at 7 p.m. Saturday, and are at Pierce at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Clark returns home Jan. 21 to host Tacoma at 5 p.m.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Standings — Clark began the second week of division play atop the West Division with Centralia, both undefeated. The Penguins (9-3), entered the coaches poll for the first time this season at No. 8.

Upcoming games — The Penguins travel to Longview to face Lower Columbia at 5 p.m. Saturday, and play Pierce at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Next home game is 3 p.m. Jan. 21 against Tacoma.
